Upgrading a landmark Dublin architectural complex to a modern, cloud-based access control system Project Snapshot Client Iveagh Court Location Dublin, Ireland Sector Commercial Offices Region ROI, NI, UK Products Installed Professional Access Control Cloud Based Video Surveillance The Project Iveagh Court is one of Dublin's architectural landmarks, comprising office spaces and six floors of residential apartments. The complex's existing on-premise access control system had become obsolete, no longer capable of meeting the security and management requirements of a modern multi-use facility serving both commercial and residential occupants. The transition needed to be handled seamlessly to avoid disruption to occupants during the changeover. The new system had to provide secure, differentiated access management for both the office and residential elements of the complex, and the decommissioning of the old system had to be coordinated precisely with the activation of the new platform. The Solution Iveagh Court, located in Dublin, is a multi-use facility, which began construction in 1994 and was completed in 2002. As one of the architectural landmarks in the city, the complex comprises office spaces and six floors of residential apartments. As technology evolves, so does the need for a modern access control system. The existing on-premise access control system had become outdated, prompting the decision to approach Electro for the installation of a cloud-based access control system – Avigilon Alta. This case study highlights the successful transition to Avigilon Alta, emphasizing the installation process, the advantages it brings, and the benefits realized by Iveagh Court. Avigilon Alta cloud implementation Smartphone-based access credentials Comprehensive staff training The Result Electro Automation implemented Avigilon Alta as the cloud-based access control solution for Iveagh Court, managing the full transition from the obsolete on-premise system. The installation was completed seamlessly, including the careful disengagement of the old system, with no disruption to office or residential occupants. The new platform provides differentiated access management for each element of the complex from a single, centrally managed cloud environment. The Avigilon Alta solution gives the facilities management team real-time access to permissions, events, and audit trails from anywhere, without the overhead of on-site servers or manual system updates. Iveagh Court now operates with a modern, scalable access platform that reflects the architectural quality of the building and provides the security and management capability a complex of its type demands. A seamless transition to cloud-based access control across a mixed-use landmark. Iveagh Court's transition to Avigilon Alta gave a landmark mixed-use complex the modern, cloud-managed access platform its occupants and facilities team require. Ready To Start Your Project?
