As a Sr ISC Materials Management here at Honeywell, you will be responsible for overseeing and ensuring the success of the materials management process and team. Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Planning: Develop and oversee comprehensive materials management strategies aligned with the companys overall objectives
- , Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to understand production schedules, forecast demand, and establish effective procurement plans
- Procurement and Sourcing: Guide procurement activities, including vendor selection, negotiation, and contract management
- Identify new suppliers, evaluate their capabilities, and build strong relationships to secure a reliable and costeffective supply of materials
- Inventory Management: Oversee inventory levels, minimizing excess or obsolete stock while ensuring an uninterrupted flow of materials to meet production requirements
- Implement inventory control measures, including cycle counts and regular audits, to maintain accuracy and efficiency
- Logistics and Distribution: Manage the logistics and distribution processes, coordinating with transportation providers to optimize delivery schedules
- Ensure timely and costeffective transportation of materials to and from the production facility
- Collaboration and Communication: Foster effective communication and collaboration with internal departments such as production, quality control, and finance
- Work closely with stakeholders to understand their materials needs and address any issues or challenges that may arise
- Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvement within the materials management function
- Implement best practices, leverage technology, and stay informed about industry trends to enhance overall efficiency
Qualifications
YOU MUST HAVE
- 2+ years of experience in materials management, procurement, and logistics, with a track record of success in optimizing supply chain processes.
- 2+ years of experience managing, motivating, and guiding a team
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
