About the role

The Senior Estimator develops integrated gas skid and station solutions that support safe, reliable fuel-gas supply for mission-critical data center gas power infrastructure. Fuel gas skids and station solutions include fuel gas conditioning skids, gas flow metering skids, pressure regulation and monitoring skids and gas composition analysis stations. This role prepares first party and third-party material and labor quotations for projects, each potentially valued at more than $10 million. The Senior Estimator partners with engineering, sales, project management, procurement, suppliers, subcontractors, and customers to define scope, identify risk, validate technical compliance, and deliver reliable proposals on schedule.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the estimating process from opportunity review through final proposal for assigned data center projects.
  • Prepare detailed material, labor, equipment, subcontractor, freight, contingency, and schedule-based estimates using first-party and third-party inputs.
  • Review requests for quotation, specifications, drawings, bills of material, data sheets, and customer requirements to establish a complete scope of supply and work.
  • Develop quantity takeoffs, labor-hour estimates, unit costs, markups, exclusions, assumptions, clarifications, and commercial summaries.
  • Solicit, normalize, and evaluate supplier and subcontractor quotations for technical compliance, scope gaps, lead times, price validity, and commercial risk.
  • Coordinate with engineering and subject-matter experts to select fit-for-purpose solutions for integrated skids and stations.
  • Identify technical, execution, supply-chain, schedule, and commercial risks; recommend contingencies and mitigation actions.
  • Maintain estimate files, cost databases, labor factors, vendor pricing, quote history, and lessons learned.
  • Present estimate strategy, cost drivers, risks, and opportunities during internal reviews and approval meetings.
  • Support customer clarifications, value engineering, negotiations, handoff to project execution, and post-award estimate reconciliation.
  • Manage priorities across multiple concurrent pursuits while meeting submission deadlines and quality standards.
  • Mentor estimators and contribute to consistent estimating tools, templates, and processes.
