Sponsorship Document Terms

These terms apply when you prepare a sponsorship document (a Visa Plan: your sponsorship proposal to an employer) on MadeVisa. Last updated October 2026.

At a glance

What a sponsorship document is

A proposal from you to an employer that opens the conversation about sponsorship: the immigration route that may apply, what that route usually asks of the employer, who you suggest pays each visa-related cost, and a target start. It has acknowledgement lines for both parties.

Every piece of information on it shows where it comes from and where it stands: supported by a source (the job ad, an official page), stated or proposed by you, or still needing confirmation by the employer, the authority or a professional. Nothing on it is estimated: a salary the job ad does not state is shown as “Not stated”, and a route we have not checked is shown as “To be confirmed”. We never show a chance of approval or of being hired, because nobody can know one.

Costs are listed one by one with the basis for each. Costs the law puts on the employer stay with the employer. For countries where we have not checked the rules, the document says so on every cost you offer to pay or share. A repayment term or a salary deduction is included only if you choose to propose one, and is then marked “Professional review recommended”, because whether it is allowed depends on the country and the route and we have not determined it.

It is a proposal, not a contract. It is not an employment offer, an immigration application or a decision on one, and it guarantees neither sponsorship nor a visa. Its terms take effect only if you and the employer write them into your employment contract or into a separate agreement you both sign. It never moves costs the law puts on the employer to you, and never lowers pay below the legal minimum or the salary the route requires.

Your MadeVisa plan pays for software you use to prepare documents. MadeVisa does not recruit for or represent employers, does not place candidates and is not a party to your proposal. Whether a service like this counts as a recruitment service under the law of a particular country is something we cannot determine for you; if that matters for your application, check with the authority or a qualified adviser.

The route information is prepared from official government sources, with the date we last checked them printed on the document. It is not legal advice. Check anything marked as needing confirmation with the employer, the official source or a qualified immigration adviser before you agree to it.

Pro

MadeVisa Pro is one plan, billed monthly or yearly. Its price depends on the country you are in, which we detect from your internet connection, and is shown in your local currency where possible (otherwise in US dollars). The price shown when you send your request, or on the payment step when you pay by card, is the price you pay. Card payments are taken in US dollars by Gumroad, which is the seller named on your receipt; you can cancel there at any time.

Pro includes 50 sponsorship documents each calendar month, the full CV match report on every job, instant job alerts and full company data. Unused documents don’t carry over to the next month. A fair-use limit of 30 documents in any 7 days applies.

Previewing, adjusting the terms and seeing the demo are free. A document is counted only when you approve it.

Credits from before October 2026

Until October 2026 documents were also sold as credits and every account had one free document. Credits you bought or earned through an invite are kept, don’t expire, and each still prepares one document. Accounts created before the change keep their free document if it hasn’t been used. When you are on Pro, the monthly allowance is used first.

Review, changes and confirmation

Before a document is counted, you see every term in a review and confirm that it is correct. After that you can still correct your name, your role line, your note and the terms. The link stays the same, nothing extra is counted, and the employer always sees the latest saved version. The job, the country and the visa route can’t be changed; for those, make a new document.

Each saved change gets a new version number (1.0, 1.1 and so on), printed on the document with its reference, so both sides can tell which version they are looking at. If you change a detail that you had checked against the job ad, the document shows it as your own information from then on.

The employer can reply “We accept in principle” on the document, with a name and a work email. From that moment the document shows “Accepted in principle by the employer” with that name and date, and it can no longer be changed. This means the employer is willing to go ahead on that basis. It is not a signature and creates no employment: the terms count only once both parties put them into the employment contract or a signed agreement.

A document is valid for 30 days from the day it was made. After that it shows “Validity ended”; make a new one if the conversation is still open.

You can still mark its status (sent, replied, interview and so on) or withdraw it, which stops the link from working. Withdrawing does not return the document to your allowance.

If something in an approved document is wrong because of a mistake on our side, email us and we will correct it or refund it.

Refunds

A prepared document is delivered instantly, so it can’t be returned once approved, except in the cases below.
